The Rapid Bike EVO ECU Piggyback Tuning Module includes the Rapid Bike EVO module, USB cable and model specific wiring harness.

The Rapid Bike EVO kit is the perfect tuning solution when you add an exhaust and/or air filter to your motorcycle. This allows you to easily get the best performance and reliability out of your bike.

BASIC INFO:

Rapid Bike EVO is a completely automatic tuning solution. The piggyback unit installs with all plug-n-play stock connectors. Once the unit is installed, the Auto-Adaptive feature monitors your air/fuel parameters and applies the necessary adjustments AS YOU RIDE. No need to connect to your computer, mess with software, or make any changes. JUST RIDE. The Rapid Bike unit handles all the tuning. Perfect for stock bikes, slipon exhausts, full systems, and other common motorcycle upgrades.

Because this unit simply piggybacks the ECU, the unit can be removed at any time, and does not make any permanent changes that may affect the factory warranty.

TECHNICAL INFO:

RAPID BIKE EVO module manages up to 8 injectors and modulates the signal up to two O2 sensors (up to 2 lambdas). The purpose of the O2 sensor (lambda) modulation is to prevent the stock ECU from recognizing the adjustment applied by the RapidBike module to the injection map without any further attempts to re-set the stock parameters matching the criteria fixed by the restrictive exhaust gas emission laws.

The Rapid Bike Evo module’s most important benefit is the Auto-adaptive feature. This offers the ability to automatically correct the injection map by reading the signal of the stock O2 sensor (lambda) and making the adjustments automatically while riding the bike.

When riding the motorcycle, the self-adaptive feature determines the automatic self-correction of the air/fuel ratio maps: this active management is added up to the pre-set parameters. The adjustments set by RapidBike EVO improve the engine efficiency in order to reach the best performance. The self-correction process is set in multipoint technology according to RPM and TPS, for the whole range of the engine working, even when the original RPM limiter is raised (when available).

Modulating the stock O2 sensor (lambda) signal is a technology far more advanced than the so called “O2 sensor eliminator” (or any other similar device used by the competitors) since they send a static/constant signal which is in conflict with the typical behavior of the lambda sensors, therefore causing the main ECU to perceive such a constant signal as a mistake to be corrected.

The Rapid Bike Evo module is can be moved to your next bike and simply sent back to Rapid Bike for a map reflash (assuming the a tune is offered for that bike). All you would need is the proper wiring harness (available from Rapid Bike). This essentially means this could be the last tuning module you ever buy!

On most models, the Rapid Bike Evo unit can remove the speed limiter and to increase the rpm limiter up to 1000 rpm over stock rev range and also has an accelerator pump feature.

QUICK SHIFT READY: Rapid Bike Race and Rapid Bike Evo systems are quick shift ready. All you need is the additional Rapid Bike quick shift sensor.

Note: All Rapid Bike products are designed for closed-course competition use.

Note: The optional "My Tuning" Bike Module is highly recommended if you want to add the "Map per Gear" function. The "My Tuning" module is not required for the Rapid Bike system to run it's internal auto adaptive tuning feature, but it will increase the speed and accuracy of the adaptive tuning to be a real time tuning solution. Suggested for track use that may have varying parameters (race fuel vs pump gas, morning practice sessions vs warmer afternoon sessions, etc)

Note: RPM limiter can be raised by 500 on 899 Panigale ONLY.

Note: All Ducati Panigale 1299, 1199 and 899 Race or Evo systems control both O2 sensors which provides individual cylinder mapping and adaptive fuel injection tuning. The range of injection’s adjustments is from -100% to +150% of the stock injection time. Can also be adjusted manually during dyno tuning.

  • I purchased this unit because I needed tuning for my Panigale 1199 after installing the SC Project exhaust. I read many positive reviews about Rapid Bike from other Ducati owners but I felt apprehensive about installing it myself. Jacob from Motovation was very helpful however, he answered all the questions I had, shared his own experience and emailed me PDF instructions a few days before I received the unit. After studying the instructions I felt more confident that I could do it myself. I installed the Rapid Bike at the same time I did the exhaust. It took me about 4 hours total, about 2 for exhaust and 2 for the Rapid Bike. I routed the harness through the back of the radiator, made sure everything was attached, secured, and out of the way. The bike started right up the first time without any codes on the dash. After putting on about 200 miles the difference is incredible! The biggest benefit for me was how smooth the power comes on when you crack the throttle in the middle of a corner. This gives me a lot more confidence because the bike doesn't buck and push while I'm leaned over. At the top end the bike feels a lot stronger also, I haven't put it on the dyno but I would guess I gained at least 10-15 horsepower, the front end comes up a lot more than it used to. I am honestly very happy with the results plus the Rapid Bike will always be adapting and getting better the more miles I put on or any changes I make, no dyno time required. Thanks Jacob!
