  • The instructions are a little sparse. I had some questions and DBK was very quick to answer and surprisingly helpful. They ended up adding one of the pictures I sent them to the instructions, which are updated on their website, but not here.

I do think DBK should modify the design of the piece, as it no longer utilizes the shift rod return spring to help ensure the shift rod fully disengages. As DBK designed it, they are totally relying on the clutch plate springs; this does work, but doesn't match the OEM design, which is why I subtracted one star.

I've done over 1,000mi since installing it and haven't had any issues. This piece does look good on the Silver 1200RS with the gold pressure plate and gold face plate ring; I went with the silver clutch springs retainer.
