Motovation Rear Axle Mounted Sliders Install InstructionsCongratulations! You have just purchased the world’s finest axle sliders for the modern sportbike. These sliders have been designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your swingarm, calipers and rotors in the unfortunate event of a lowside or tip over. Motovation axle sliders are designed and manufactured by a company that only makes frame sliders and sportbike protection accessories. Each and every model is tested for drop and slide protection. They are tough but not brittle and can also absorb a huge impact. Sportsriders around the world who have tested various models of our products on the track have all given their thumbs up after experiencing first hand, the benefits of Motovation axle Sliders.
Please read all instructions before beginning work! These axle sliders are designed to fit specific left and right sides of your rear axle so every part is unique. If there is a longer screw it will always be used for the longer slider and the slider with the larger diameter insert will always fit the side of your rear axle with the larger diameter clearance hole. It will be very obvious if you have installed them in reverse as they will most likely not fit.
Included in this kit: (2)slider pucks(1)anodized aluminum rod, internally threaded(2) stainless steel M8 socket screws
Tools Required:8mm allen key x 2
Install the first slider onto the threaded rod with the correct screw.
Insert the rod with the slider into the rear axle of your bike.
Make sure that the slider fits snugly into the axle. If it does not you have inserted it from the wrong side.
Install the second slider with the remaining screw and tighten till both sliders are snug in the rear axle and do not rotate easily.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. We recommend some non-permanent Loctite on all screw threads whenever possible. This will prevent the untimely loss of your sliders from improper tightening torque.
