The Streetfighter S is the first naked sport bike equipped with competition-level traction control as standard equipment. Accessible from the left-hand switchgear and displayed on the digital instrumentation, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) offers a choice of eight ‘sensitivity levels’, each one programmed with a wheel-spin tolerance matched to progressive riding levels of skill. When activated, the system analyses front and rear wheel speeds to detect the level of wheel-spin, instantly evaluating the Streetfighter’s ‘dynamic situation’ before administering two types of interaction in varying amounts: ignition retardation and fuel injection cuts. DTC understands exactly how the Streetfighter is being used. From slow mid-corner acceleration with serious lean angle to high speed corner exits while almost upright, the intelligent system reacts according to each and every situation, enhancing performance and maximising control.
Motovation Accessories decided to take this amazing motorcycle, and turn it into a truly custom street fighting machine. BST carbon fiber wheels, Custom gold flake paint job, Termignoni exhaust, Tons of Carbon, and just about the entire Rizoma catalog. The goal was to create a unique motorcycle that gave you the opportunity to notice something new each time you see it. A true rolling work of art.
"The moment we saw the Streetfighter we realized it was a great canvas to showcase what could be done with top-shelf components and nice paint. Our goal was to build something truly unique with readily available components so anyone with a vision could follow suit," Roland Lee of Motovation
While the fear of ruining such a flawless machine might stop many people from modifying the Ducati Streetfighter, We dove in headfirst. Taking a quick inventory of this Streetfighter reveals a plethora of carbon fiber in the form of BST wheels, Termignoni pipes and other bits like the fenders, undertail and side panels from CDT. We have tried many different brands of carbon and find the CDT carbon to be of the highest quality. Since Motovation is a US importer of Rizoma, it only made sense that we trick the bike out with billet/clear timing belt covers, gold anodized bars, billet reservoirs, LED blinkers, Lux grips, fluid tanks, Track 77 turn signals, clutch plate, cover, etc.
Accessories include: Motovation frame sliders and bar ends, Arrow steering damper with Motovation mounting kit, Shift-Tech passenger peg eliminators, STM frame plugs and preload adjusters, Ducati Accessories quick release gas cap and seat, carbon fiber key guard, swingarm cover, undertail, side panels and instrument cover, Rizoma levers, billet grips, fluid reservoirs, oil-filler cap, sprocket cover, plate bracket, blinkers and rearsets, Circuit 851 mirrors, Rizoma pressure plate, clutch cover, waterpump sliders and cam-belt covers, Motovation axle sliders, carbon fiber hugger and fork sliders.
2010 Ducati Streetfighter S - Fibered 'Fighter - September 2010 Super Street Bike Magazine - www.superstreetbike.com More than just a perfect canvas trimmed in top-shelf bits, this Ducati is rolling artwork thanks to a one-off paint scheme from Southern Metal Choppers. It's one part racer, one part retro and all parts cool. "We wanted something that was crazy but not so much as to take away from the already stunning Streetfighter. So we went with a dark look and small details like gold foil inlays, hand pin striping and subtle crystal texturing so that every time someone looked at the bike, they saw something new," Lee said.
