2006/7 Yamaha FJR1300 Frame Sliders Install Instructions

Thank-you for purchasing this kit.

Please read all instructions before beginning work! These frame sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your Yamaha FJR1300. This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the bike). It is highly recommended that you refer to your service manual before performing this installation. If you are unsure about the tightening torque, you should check your motorcycle's manual or ask your local Yamaha service rep.

Included in this kit:
2 x Left/ Right side frame sliders
2 x aluminum inserts pressed into sliders
2 x 12mm x 100mm hardened socket head cap screws
1 x aluminum spacer (right side)

Tools Required:
Torque Wrench
10mm allen key for Torque Wrench

INSTRUCTIONS: Attempt this install one side at a time. Left Side (while sitting on the bike) first.

Remove left side lower engine bolt. Ensure that the bolt hole is clean. Inspect supplied bolt for threads that may have been damaged in transit. Ensure bolt hole is clean of debris.
Insert supplied bolt through the slider with the smaller insert (longer slider) and install.

Torque to manufacturer's spec.

Use of Locktite is recommended. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN

Remove right side lower engine bolt.
Insert the supplied aluminum spacer into the frame recess.Inspect supplied bolt for threads that may have been damaged in transit. Ensure bolt hole is clean of debris.
Insert supplied bolt through the slider with the larger insert (shorter slider) and install.
Torque to manufacturer's spec.

Use of Locktite is recommended. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN
