for the Vstrom 650/1000 SV650/1000. These sliders have been designed to offer
unsurpassed protection to your Vstrom 650/1000 SV650/1000 in the unfortunate
event of a lowside or tip over. Motovation frame sliders are designed and manufactured
by a company that only makes frame sliders. Each and every model is tested
for drop and slide protection. They are tough but not brittle and can also

before beginning work! These frame sliders are designed to
fit specific engine mounts of your Vstrom 650/1000 SV650/1000.
This kit has separate left and right pieces (left and right
while sitting on the bike). It is highly recommended that you
refer to your service manual before performing this installation.
If you are unsure about the tightening torque, here are some standard
torque settings to serve as a guide.
Included
in this kit:
(1) 12mmX420mm bolt, locknuts attached
(2) Aluminum bushings (pressed into slider)
(2) Plastic Frame Sliders
- Left (larger diameter insert)
- Right (smaller diameter insert)
INSTRUCTIONS:
The use of an impact
wrench and a quality 6-point socket is recommended for
the removal of the stock nut.
1. Remove the right-side lower-center
engine mount nut (see pic).
2. Remove the through bolt, out the left hand side.
3. From the left side, install the left slider with the larger diameter
insert into the frame. Insert the bolt provided with the nut installed
through the slider and into the frame. Be sure to align the spacer on
the right side while feeding the bolt through the engine mount.
4. From the right side install the
right slider with the smaller diameter insert onto
the bolt provided and thread the supplied locknut.
5. Tighten and torque the nut (55-60 ft. lbs. is recommended).
