You have just purchased the world’s finest frame sliders
for the 2004-5 Aprilia RSV Factory/R. These sliders have been
designed to offer unsurpassed protection to your 2004-5 Aprilia
RSV Factory/R in the unfortunate event of a lowside or tip over.
Motovation frame sliders are designed and manufactured by a company
that only makes frame sliders. Each and every model is tested
for drop and slide protection. They are tough but not brittle
and can also absorb a huge impact. Sportsriders around the world
who have tested various models of our products on the track have
all given their thumbs up after experiencing first hand, the
benefits of Motovation Frame Sliders.
Please
read all instructions before beginning work! These frame
sliders are designed to fit specific engine mounts of your
2003 2004-5 Aprilia RSV Factory/R. This kit has separate
left and right pieces (left and right while sitting on the
bike). It is highly recommended that you refer to your service
manual before performing this installation. If you are unsure
about the tightening torque, here are some standard
torque settings to serve as a guide.
Included
in this kit:
(1) Left side Frame slider- smaller diameter insert
(1) Right side Frame slider- larger diameter insert
(2) Heat treated steel bolts -180mm
Tools
Required:
Torque Wrench
10 mm Allen key for torque wrench
10 mm Allen key
INSTRUCTIONS:
Before
beginning work, make sure that engine is cold due to
the proximity of the exhaust headers to the nuts at
the back of the bolts.
Right
Hand Side ( Sitting On Bike )
1) Remove ( See picture ) correct bolt -try not to drop the nut and washer.
2) Install the provided Right Slider (larger diameter slider insert)
and 180mm bolt and re-use the factory supplied nut.
3) Tighten the frame slider to the manufacturer’s recommended torque
settings.
DO
NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Left
Hand Side ( Sitting On Bike )
Repeat the process with the left side slider that has the smaller diameter
slider insert.
